Must possess and maintain the required certifications as deemed necessary by Office of EMS which includes Paramedic’s certification and possession of appropriate state EMS certifications (Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Cardiac Life Support) Certified by the Georgia Firefighter Standards and Training Council as Firefighter or able to obtain certification within one year of hire date. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent with vocational or technical school training in Paramedic Technology and a minimum of two to three years experience in emergency communications and emergency medical response functions with the ability to provide leadership and supervision over assigned emergency service functions or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must be able to work flexible hours and flexible locations. Maintains station and performs daily duties as required by the position. Routinely assists with the inspection of the ambulance and related equipment to ensure proper operation and sanitary cleanliness. Operates an advanced life support ambulance to administer care. REQUIREMENTS: Responsible for administering appropriate emergency medical treatment to victims of accidents and other life threatening situations.
